Some embroidery work i done inspired by The Guerrilla Girls showing some statistics about women in film.
1. 32.8 % of speaking characters are female which means for every 1 female there are two men
2. Only 4 women have been nominated for Best Director
3. Only 2 of the 100 top grossing films of all time were directed by women.
4. 39.8% of girls in films wear sexually revealing clothing while 6.7% of boys do.
5. Women are only: 8% of directors, 13.6% of writers, 19% of producers
6. 30% of girls get partially naked in films while 10.3% of boys do
